Wow, I cant believe your neighbor doesn't knock, how annoying! I hope the appointment goes well and there aren't too many tears!

What is with people thinking they can just enter other homes without an invitation? Your bloggy meet-up sounds like tons of fun!

Hahaha! These are cute. I say let em have glitter. You only live once (signed Not Mom of the kid who bedazzled the school hallways in glitter ;) )

Racist bullshit seems to be in the air. I've had my own dealings with it recently...in my own family...concerning my own (Mexican) children. It isn't pretty...and this Mama said "ENOUGH!" Needless to say...they aren't family any longer. And I don't care.

So many funnies! What a good mom to save her son from glitter regret.

Walking in someone's house without knocking? Really?! Not cool!

Good call on the glitter!

My neighbor's kids think they can just follow me inside when I come home from work too. I have actually shut the door in their faces!

Your neighbor doesn't knock? Time for a chat with that one.

It was only pre-season. Give my Jack a break! I cannot wait to "Go to the NFL"!

Um, where's my Kooper? What have you done to him? Glitter and fairies is right up Kamden's alley, NOT my Koop's? WTF?

I'm so ready for Fall!!!!! and and if I can find the Recipe I have the perfect thing for SAS!!!!

Oh, Kooper. You are full of the awesome.

As is your Momma.

I will always remember sitting in a staff meeting and hearing somebody say the most anti-Semitic, racist thing ever. I was so shocked, I didn't say a thing.

Like you, I will always find the words in the future.

i think it is probably good to speak up to haters and racists, even if they seem like lost causes!

and keep the doors locked at all times! yeesh! walk-ins not welcome! tell that to my landlord!!!!

Babes Mami said...

I keep our doors locked because one time a little spanish girl ran into my house crying.

Yeah.

Ditto on what Daf said. I had to go back and reread that one.

You guys are going to have soooo much fun together....beaches.

I have a neighbor child who doesn't knock either...imagine our surprise when he decided to help himself into the house while the
hubby and I were in the shower while our kids weren't home. His mother thought it was funny?!

You can talk to racist people till your are totally out of breath and it won't change a thing. It sucks, cuz it should.

gayle said...

Can't wait to read all about the fun you girls had!!

Sandra said...

So what you're saying is that I should quit with the glitter, going around my house proclaiming, "I'm a fairy!"...?
As for the note to your self staying silent in the face of racism, well, I think often times we are numbed into inaction. It happens to most all of us.
