Pomp and Circumstance

Tuesday, June 8, 2010

It was a big year here at Casa di RomanoWe watched Kenna graduate from high school Friday night.  Her brothers are all so proud, can you tell?

I have to say, the ceremony pretty much sucked though.  The school certainly didn't plan properly for a large graduating class.  It was held in the football stadium at the school, which maybe holds 5,000 comfortably.  Um....there were 450+ students graduating.  There were probably 15,000 people there for the ceremony.  People standing.  People sitting in the grass, people everywhere.

All in all though, it was a successful night, and year.

Today, I am off to an awards ceremony for Kooper.  He made Honor Roll all year, and he is getting a Math Geek award(not really called that, that's my take on his math skills).  Michael and Kamden also made All A Honor Roll all year.  Damn, I have some seriously geeky children!

So...some housecleaning now.  Today is the last day to enter all the DUCK FEST giveaways!  Go enter!  We haven't broken $1000 yet people.  Go.  Give!  ENTER!

So, with kids graduating, all the Duck Fest stuff, and all the colds and crap we have had around here, I have been failing to get stuff posted for Share a Spoon on Saturdays.  We will be back on track this week.  This week's theme is CROCK POT cooking.  It's getting hot.  It is so much easier, and cooler for your kitchen to throw a meal in the crock pot.  Thanks to Stephanie over at The Blue Zoo for this week's theme.  NOW, get your recipes together this week, and link up with me on Thursday!!

OH...and one more thing.  Lose it Bitches!  Has a new design.  It's super fabulous.  GO. CHECK. IT!  Cheesecake has mad skillz!

One last thing...leave me some love!

Congrats to the Graduate! AND the Momma and Pappa!! :)

I think that this week I will partcipate in the share a spoon theme. I have great crockpot ideas! And use them throughout every Summer! I just hope I remember and not forget. I sometimes want to do lots of things, only I have wires that are loose and remembering isn't top priority!
