Think Tank Momma

Unleash the Attitude and share your Gratitude!

Dear Diaper Makers,
Thank you so much for making disposable diapers.  There is no way I could clean out cloth diapers.  It really just isn't possible for someone with a stomach that does somersaults at the gross to use cloth.  However, would it be too much to ask to make OVERNIGHT diapers for the teeny tiny?  You tease me with the promise of them yet there aren't any for newborns.  I realize that there aren't THAT many newborns sleeping long enough to require them, but mine does!  She sleeps for 10-12 hours every night.  I NEED OVERNIGHT diapers.  She was soaked completely from head to toe this morning.  I am NOT putting those plastic covers on her.  Those are not comfortable for sleeping.
Sincerely,
Tired of washing sheets daily

Dear Pollen,
Thank you so much for feeding the bees and making it possible for me to enjoy that sweet nectar honey!  Oh how I love peanut butter and honey sandwiches!  Do you think though that you could move along now?  My blue truck looks GREEN because your yellow loveliness is coating it.  My head is pounding because of you.  I am getting hives.  Itching in places it ain't normal to itch!  And the nose bleeds?  GACK!  So, thanks for the sticky sweet goodness, but you can have the rest.
Sincerely,
Allergy med resistant Momma

Alrighty Smackers!  Link up!  Leave some LOVE!  Don't be the subject of my letter next week!

WHOOT WHOOT! I was first...its my birthday...Imma party...*doin the cabbage patch*.....

Okay...its not really my birthday incase anyone didn't get that song reference.

Aaaaand I'm working REALLY hard on feeling badly that your little pixie is sleeping so long through the night that she needs overnight diaper protection. I think Girlie was....oh.....17 MONTHS before she slept through the night.

The pollen is a horrible thing, as I sit here with sticky, blurry eyes despite the allergy meds. Actually paid good money to have the cars washed a few weeks ago, the gas station carwash just wasn't cutting it. They're mostly their original colors again, instead of bright Hi-Liter yellow. Add this to the list of things I won't miss about Florida.

Yeah I thought the same thing about cloth diapers but they make really good ones nowadays. It's too early for me to comment...why am I doing it?

The lack of disposable overnight diapers for newborns is why I made my babies sleep in the tub.

You're welcome.

I can totally relate to the diapers. My first and third slept through the night within the first few weeks of birth and my second would poo every night between 12 and 1 and with that was always a soaking wet diaper. Ick, you cannot change a baby with that kind of wet diaper and expect them to sleep through it. Kudos to you on that one.

I so don't miss diapers. Glad the shorty princess is getting some shut eye.

Try taking a teaspoon full of honey every day just the honey.. it is a natural allergy reliever because of the pollen in the honey it causes your body to naturally build up the histamines to the things you are allergic to.

Yes, I remember well the days of changing a soaking wet pissy baby and all the sheets too. Can't say that I miss it. Not. One. Bit. Ever try putting on two diapers at night - as in one over the other? Just a thought. ;)

Ahhhh the little poppet making her presence known...even in her sleep!

Ahhh I have fond memories of waking up to wet babies, stripping the crib, stripping the baby, throwing the baby in the bath, remaking the crib. Dear sweet heaven how do we survive?

My diet consists of allergy/sinus meds and mucinex.

Crap. Now I want a peanut butter sandwich and that's SO not on my diet.

The pollen is SO horrible this year!

Try the Huggies Organic cotton stuff diapers, I found that they were more absorbent than the regular breeds of tiny diapers.

10-12 hours??? I have an almost two year old who still can't go 3 hours. WAIL!!! You're a lucky Momma.

Oh I hear ya on the pollen. My car is covered in it & my head feels like a balloon. It really needs to move along ASAP!! =P

I was totally drawn in by the title.

Instead, you give me diapers and pollen.

REFUND! REFUND!

You officially have the most magical newborn ever. I have never heard of a baby sleeping so many hours!

I say whatever floats people's boats with the cloth diaper thing and I guess maybe I can understand some benefits of it, but the hell if I could ever deal with that kind of nastyness myself. Disposables only please.

I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed for a baby that sleeps through the night! And pollen, yea . . . Pollen can suck it.

Awesome funny! Just a suggestion...just tack on a couple extra diapers for the night time...that should do it.

Pollen sucks about 19 different kinds of ass.

And yes, I can name 19 different kinds of ass. Starting with mine.

Glad my diaper days are OVER!

Have you tried Luvs? Those were my fave.

With BOTH boys I forgot to make sure that their penises were down when I put their diapers on. I would get them and remark, "The baby is so sweaty!"

Umm, no.

You think I would have learned with the second one.

Wow, she sleeps through the night? You are so lucky! Have you tried putting the next size diaper on her at night?

The pollen is so bad this year.

I can't get over the newborn sleeping through the night...I'm shocked.... :)

I changed my very last diaper this weekend, cause 3 year old are not allowed to wear diapers, it is the law and I could be arrested if I were to get caught. I plan on telling her the truth when she is 20.

SurferWife said...

Maybe you should market those diapers since you seem to be the ONLY one with a newborn sleeping that much through the night.

Craziness.

Only sleeps for 10-12 hours...I suppose that's good, my mother told me I used to sleep for 23 hours a day.

She used to have to poke me to make sure I was still alivve.

Peanut butter and honey sandwiches are awesome. The pollen and the bees aren't finished supplying me with my years supply of honey yet, sorry.

We use cloth diapers.... I was against it at first because I didn't think my wife could keep up with the cleaning of the cloth diapers....

She's keeping up with the diapers and we're saving a lot of money!

Hey lovely, I have used Huggies with all the bubs after road testing a few. Seriously, during the day, unless they poop I rarely bother changing them, let alone at night. At night if you feel they are too full, go up a size.

And for the stoopid pollen, try rinsing with a neti pot. Google it. It's fun trying.

I've never had that problem and I use the Target brand.
