Share a Spoon Theme Time

Trim n' Slim

This week's theme is brought to you compliments of the super sassy and oh so fabulous @QuesoBonito aka Alicia from It Ain't Easy Being Cheesy!

But first, can we all take a collective sigh and breathe in deep for a second.  Whew!  Doesn't that feel better?  The holidays are behind us.  I love the holidays. I do.  They do wear me out though.  Luckily I got my fix, I'm all baked out.  Not that, my sweet tooth thinks I am all baked out.

So....holidays are behind us and it's that time of year when everyone resolves to take off those extra lbs. packed on over the holidays.  You know the one...."this WILL be the year I lose those extra pounds."  It's when everyone dusts off those recipes for low calorie, low fat options and joins a gym.

Join us this week and share your favorite low-cal, or low-fat, figure friendly recipes.  It can be a main dish, a great smoothie, a skinny but tasty dessert.  Salads or soups, or bring on the chicken.  Just join us this week and SHARE your favorite recipes that won't break the calorie bank!

Now, leave me some love and tell me what you want recipes for in the coming weeks!  I'll highlight you and your theme!  Now that the holidays are over the things are back to normal, Share a Spoon theme will be back to regularly posted on Saturdays.  You'll get highlighted and linked on Saturday and Thursday when the recipe links go up!

Now go....find your skinny recipes!  Mwah!

Looking forward to some healthy eating again. I don't think I could shove one more piece of fudge into my fat little face...well, who am I kidding. I totally could. Ugh.

You know what I'd like to see? Some good sandwich and/or salad recipes. I'm always looking for delicious light lunches and the same old stuff gets boring after awhile.

See you Thursday! :)

I've been off Zumba for too long...they took a holiday break and it like to killed me!

Looking forward to starting back up and getting in the groove! Would love to see easy, quick meals. For some reason I'm finding it hard to get a good rounded meal thrown together for me and Little Duck.

Also, I had to trade my droid in for a new Droid (faulty keyboard or something - it was super annoying.) so then I had to change my Ping name. Now its sexy_stephy. So send me an invite!

I'm with you on this one! I'm bound and determined to get back to my ideal weight by the time we open the pool.

I also plan to share some of my healthy recipes on my blog as well. I will however share my new favorite. It's sooooo easy!

I make up a bunch of individual sized pizza crusts, bag them in their own baggies and freeze them. Then I thaw them out as I want them, roll them and top with:

A couple tablespoons of fat free or reduced fat ranch dressing, some cooked (frozen) broccoli, small pieces of tomato and reduced fat mozzarella cheese. I bake for about 17 minutes at 450. Soooo yummy and low fat!

Once your crust is made they take about 5 minutes to throw together.
