Nora is 12...she has facebook. But the condition being that I have her password until she's 14. No password, no facebook. I monitor everything that comes and goes.
And what is this about a bloggy hook up?!?! I want details woman!
Facebook pages and cell phones are quite the hot topic for the 5th graders in my life. Of course, the moms with older kids tell me stories that make me want to lock my guy up until he's 18.
Drama seems to start younger and younger these days! Tell your kids they're saving themselves A LOT of stress by NOT having social network contact pages!!! :) And I have the patent on the Crabby Ass post its, since I AM THE CRABBY ASS!!! But it's really not ME, it's the baby! :) I swear!
Love your note to Kooper. A friend told me yesterday her little brother's are on FB and they are 10 and 12. I like Dual Mom's plan..no password, no FB.
There was some major third grade drama at my son's school last year due to facebook. WTF?! No social networking for my boys either. Though my 6 year old is convinced he needs a cell phone. Not gonna happen. Possibly ever...
Crispy Momma.....that one had me rolling for some reason. And its not just because I'm in a chair with rollers...and I happen to be 5 and enjoy spinning in circles in it while yelling WEEEEEEEEE.
Umm....yeah...a bit too heavy on the caffeine today. Sorry.
No FB for the youngins. I'm with ya on that one. Auntie Duckaduck need to come down an smack some quackers around?
I want fall!! It feels like, well ok it felt like fall for the past few weeks at night and in the morning but now it's super hot again :( it better cool down for this weekend.
I realized it was way too hot here in FL when I said it was cooler one day and I was celebrating the fact that the high was only in the low 90's! I'll start flagging Fall to come our way too -maybe we can peer pressure it into showing up?
facebook!! NO NO NO! they're just babies!! lol...and seriously, way too many creepers out there! and i'm with you, i'm dying for fall!! i have a whole wardrobe just begging to be worn!!
I know, what is it with Facebook and preteens? The funny thing is, my one boy who is old enough to have a Facebook account, checked it last September and hasn't been back since.
I have already made it known to my almost 10 yr. old that she's not getting a facebook until facebook is no longer "cool." Period!
And I'll will some of the rain we had all day today your way!!! It was so hot here that the ground sighed when the first little drop fell!!! Hope it finds you soon!!!
The Smack Talker
I'm a fast talkin', smack talkin', food lovin', recipe writin', ADHD sufferin', joke tellin', wit swappin', SNARKTASTIC mommy of five. I married Prince Charming who just so happens to be a Star Wars geek, and we are living happily ever after. I tend to over share, lose my cool and make rash generalizations. I'm teaching my kids to love everyone and appreciate all things. Did I mention I love FOOD?

I get you on the facebook thing. My 5 year old has asked for one and on her play laptop she pretends she is on facebook. It is sad really

Pinkus wants very little to do with FB - thank goodness! (he is a total nerd)
September is going to be an awesome month!!
I'm going to Brandee's house! I'm going to Brandee's house!!!
I don't think fall will ever come to south TX!
I'm hoping that all this social networking is a fad that will be gone by the time my kiddos are tweens. ;-)
So that little sick leave last week. . . um yeah, I forgot about Labor Day. Oops!
Guess I won't be playing with you guys on that Friday.

You're getting to meet TOM in person? So unfair! :>
Crispy Momma, lemme tell you, it's nasty here in NC, too. Not as bad as it could be, natch, but still ...
I am glad I don't need to have the conversation about social media being okay for me but not for kids.
But, no doubt, it is different. I'm an adult.
You're such a good momma!
I love Fall too! I have a 13 yo Son...much scarier than my 16 yo daughter...believe it or not!
Oh Lord I cannot wait until Fall! Today was 92 in Ohio! What the heck?? Seriously? I need a breeze...
Know what?? I'm getting out my fall deco tomorrow. So there. lol
